Shower units in touring caravans and in boats are not covered.<\/p>\n<p>It provides details of minimum performance requirements, in addition to the performance details given in Part 1 of BS 6340, to ensure that the facility provided is adequate and safe. It does not cover requirements for disabled persons and where the shower unit is to be used by a disabled person in a private dwelling, it may be appropriate to seek advice from the local authority social services department.
