The failure analysis includes:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p>interturn faults;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>phase-to-phase short-circuits;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>double earth faults and single earth faults of motors with earth connection of the star-point;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>static and dynamic eccentricities;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>cage imperfection or defects (e.g. broken bars or end-rings);<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>bearing currents.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>This can be achieved by tools like search coils or other magnetic sensors or partly by the analysis of the terminal voltages and currents.<\/p>\n<p>The detection of the following effects is excluded from the scope:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p>vibration (covered by ISO standards, e.g. ISO&nbsp;10816 and ISO&nbsp;7919);<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>partial discharge (covered by IEC&nbsp;60034-27);<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>single earth-faults of motors without earth connection of the star-point;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>core imperfection.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Also excluded are special methods applicable for specific applications only (e.g. turbo generators).<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p><b>Rotating electrical machines &#8211; Online detection and diagnosis of potential failures at the active parts of rotating electrical machines and of bearing currents.
