Requirements that are specific to <span style=\"font-style: italic\">Code<\/span>, Section VIII, Division 2 are shown in braces { }. <\/p>\n<p>This Practice is supplemental to the requirements of <span style=\"font-style: italic\">PIP VESV1002, Design and Fabrication Specification for Pressure Vessels, ASME Code Section VIII Divisions 1 and 2<\/span>. <\/p>\n<p>This Practice does not cover the following types of shell and tube heat exchangers: <\/p>\n<p>a. Standardized pre-designed (i.e., off-the-shelf) heat exchangers <\/p>\n<p>b.
