See section 2 for a summary of the two<br \/>\ntiers.<\/p>\n<p>The functional scope of the location service as described herein<br \/>\ncovers functionality described in TIA-102 [11] section 2.3.3.4.<\/p>\n<p>Note that group-oriented Location Services are not supported at<br \/>\nthis time. The transport mechanisms for group data have not been<br \/>\ncompleted, so there is no mechanism to send group-addressed<br \/>\napplication data. The protocols described in the P25 Location<br \/>\nService documentation suite have to be able to expand to allow<br \/>\ngroup-oriented operation when the transport mechanisms are<br \/>\navailable.<\/p>\n<p>Note also that a trunking control channel message to report<br \/>\nlocation might also be desired for those systems that do not<br \/>\nsupport the generic packet data service.
