B30.27 applies to the construction, installation, operation, inspection, testing, and maintenance of trailer and truck-mounted material placement systems. Included in this are mechanical and hydraulic pea gravel systems, mobile telescoping boom conveyors, separate placing booms, and material placement accessories. Truck-mounted material placement systems can be either with or without an integral placing boom. This Volume does not apply to conveyor parts of mobile telescoping boom conveyors, mortar conveying or spraying machines, or dry mix shotcreting machines. The conveyor section of these machines is covered by ASME B20.1.
