Sets out requirements for the preparation, analysis and certification procedures for reference gas mixtures (RGM).
Scope
This Standard sets out requirements for the preparation, analysis and certification procedures of traceable reference gas mixtures. This Standard applies to the preparation, analysis and certification of a reference gas mixture (RGM) whose range of concentrations is dependent on the commercially available certified reference gas mixture (CRGM,) and primary gravimetric standards (PGS); for this Standard, RGMs are limited to, from 50% of the lowest concentration CRGM or PGS available, up to 200% of the highest concentration of CRGM, or PGS available.
NOTE: While this Standard applies to the preparation of any RGM, a typical end use is automotive emissions, an example of which is found in Appendix A.
