Ferroalloys – Chemical analysis – Determination of phosphorus content- Spectrophotometric method

Sets out a spectrophotometric method for the determination of the phosphorus content of ferroalloys. The method is applicable to the determination of phosphorus contents between 0.005% and 0.25% provided that the following elements are not present in amounts greater than that specified: niobium 1%, tantalum 1%, titanium 2%, tungsten 11%, zirconium 1%.
Scope
This Standard sets out a spectrophotometric method for the determination of the phosphorus content of ferroalloys. The method is applicable to the determination of phosphorus contents between 0.005% and 0.25%, provided that the following elements are not present in amounts greater than those specified:
niobium 1%
tantalum 1%
titanium 2%
tungsten 11%
zirconium 1%
