Part 3 of this British Standard specifies requirements for wrought seamless and fabricated carbon and ferritic alloy steel butt-welding pipe fittings for use in the petroleum industry, and is in metric units.
The following types of fittings are provided for:
45° long radius elbows;
90° long and short radius elbows;
90° long radius tangent elbows;
long and short radius return bends;
equal and reducing tees;
concentric and eccentric reducers;
caps;
lap-joint stub ends.
Welding-neck flanges are not included. They are included in BS 15601) and BS 32932).
Attention is drawn to Appendix A, which lists information to be supplied by the purchaser.
Dimensions and tolerances, materials, methods of manufacture, pressure/temperature ratings, marking, inspection, tests for seamless and fabricated fittings: 45° long radius elbows, 90° long and short radius elbows, 90° long radius tangent elbows, long and short radius return bends, equal and reducing tees, concentric and eccentric reducers, caps and lap-joint stub ends, of sizes 19 mm to 609.5 mm. Welding-neck flanges not included.
