This Standard specifies the method of test for unit mass and air content of fresh concrete by mass method.

This Standard is applicable to concrete made with coarse aggregate of which the maximum aggregate size is 40 mm or smaller, and also to concrete made with porous aggregate such as artificial lightweight aggregate.

NOTE : The International Standard corresponding to this Standard are as follows.

ISO 1920-2 : 2016 Testing of concrete — Part 2 : Properties of fresh concrete (MOD)

In addition, symbols which denote the degree of correspondence in the contents between the relevant International Standard and JIS are IDT (identical), MOD (modified), and NEQ (not equivalent) according to ISO/IEC Guide 21-1.
