Description

This Standard specifies screwed type malleable cast iron fittings(3) used for ordinary piping(2) for water(1), oil, steam, air, gas, etc. (hereafter referred to as "fittings").

Notes (1) Water, here, refers to feed water, reuse of waste water, water for firefighting, industrial water, air conditioning chilled and hot water, cooling water, etc.

(2) Ordinary piping, here, refers to piping mainly for piping use carbon steel pipes, and do not apply to high-pressure piping, conduit tubing or other special fittings.

(3) Fittings, here, refers to those having the black-surfaced condition, the plated, resin-coated and external resin-covered surface condition, and for fittings having the internal black-surfaced condition and plated surface condition, the feed water use is excluded.

Application of those fittings with inner surface coated to water supplying are possible only before October 31, 2004.
