This Standard specifies the shot peening applied to springs in order to improve their resistance force to fatigue, stress corrosion cracking, delayed fracture, etc. mainly by introducing compressive residual stresses into their surface.

NOTE: The International Standard corresponding to this Standard and the symbol of degree of correspondence are as follows.

ISO 26910-1: 2009 Springs-Shot peening-Part 1: General procedures (MOD)
