This Standard specifies the methods of calculation and representation of energy efficiency standard achievement percentage of electrical and electronic appliances.

In this Standard, electrical and electronic appliances are, in accordance with the Energy Conservation Act, mainly for general household use out of the following specific appliances for which the standard coefficient of performance is specified.

In d), e) and h), however, electrical and electronic appliances for business use are included.

In addition, requirements for A.C. motor and LED lamp in o) and p), a) of clause 4 and 5.5 are applicable from the date when "standards of judgment" for manufacturers etc. concerning A.C. motor and LED lamp are determined by the Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry based on the provision of paragraph 1 of Article 78 of the Energy Conservation Act.

g) Magnetic disc appliance

i) Rice cooker and warmer

j) Microwave oven

m) Switching appliance

n) Electric water heater

o) A.C. motor

p) LED lamp
