This Standard specifies electric wheelchairs, whose maxim urn speed is not exceeding 6 km/h, including user operated standard type (hereafter referred to as "standard type"), user-operated simple type (hereafter referred to as "simple type") and user operated adjustable seat position type equipped with reclining (see figure JA.l), lifting (see figure JA.2) and tilting (see figure JA.3) systems (hereafter referred to as "adjustable seat position type") as defined in type classification of electric wheelchairs (see Annex JA).

However, handle type electric wheelchairs are excluded.
