This Standard specifies marking codes for fixed inductors for use in electronic and telecommunication equipment.

a) The colour code specified in clause 3 gives a colour coding for fixed inductors.

It is intended for use with the values of the E3 to E24 series as specified in JIS C 5063.

b) The code specified in clause 4 gives a system for marking inductance values by means of digits and letters.

c) The code specified in clause 5 gives a system for marking the tolerance on inductance values by means of letters.

d) The code specified in clause 6 gives a system for marking of the year and month (year and week) of the manufacture on fixed inductors by means of letters and digits.

NOTE : The International Standard corresponding to this Standard and the symbol of degree of correspondence are as follows:

IEC 61605 : 2005 Fixed inductors for use in electronic and telecommunication equipment-Marking codes (IDT)

The symbols which denote the degree of correspondence in the contents between the relevant International Standard and JIS are IDT (identical), MOD (modified), and NEQ (not equivalent) according to ISO/ IEC Guide 21.
