This European Standard specifies a gas chromatographic method using mass spectrometric detection for the determination of ethyl carbamate (EC) in stone fruit spirits, fruit marc spirits and other spirit drinks. The method has been validated in an interlaboratory study for stone fruit spirits and fruit liqueurs, at levels ranging from 0,253 mg/l to 1,11 mg/l. However, linearity of the instrument response was proven for the concentration ranges 0,10 mg/l to 4,0 mg/l (simplified method) and 0,025 mg/l to 3,0 mg/l (procedure including sample clean-up), respectively.

AS 2007-07-12 57
]]>
Specifies requirements for a method of manufacture of serially produced metallic and non-metallic unfired pressure vessels having a maximum volume of 500 L, and specified limits related to the vessels contents, on the product of the design pressure and the total vapour space. For such vessels, this method of manufacture based on type testing provides an alternative to the method given in AS 1210. Burst tests and other performance tests on a significant number of representative samples are used to validate design, materials and fabrication, simultaneously.

Scope

This Standard specifies requirements for the materials, design, manufacture, inspection and testing of serially produced metallic or non-metallic or combination unfired pressure vessels comprising:
(a) A maximum volume of 500 L.
(b) A design pressure exceeding 0.05 MPa.
(c) A product of the design pressure (in megapascals) and the total vapour space (in litres) that is greater than 1 but less than 3000 MPa.L. Where the vessel contents are classified as harmful or very harmful to AS 4343, the upper limit is 1500 MPa.L. This Standard excludes contents classified as lethal.
NOTE: The vapour space is the maximum volume which will contain compressed gas or vapour or liquefied gas or liquid above its atmospheric boiling point.
(d) A temperature range of –30 degrees Celsius to 15 0degrees Celsius. Vessels designated outside the range of 0 degrees Celsius to 50 degrees Celsius require special tests. Refer to Appendices D, F and G where applicable.
Such vessels may be refillable or non-refillable.
NOTE: Users of this Standard are reminded that it has no legal authority in its own right, but may acquire legal standing if adopted by government or any other authority having jurisdiction, or if specified as part of a commercial contract.
