It focusses on the authentication of material goods and, if appropriate, its components \/ parts \/ related data:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p>covered by intellectual property rights;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>covered by relevant international, regional or national regulation;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>with counterfeiting-related implications;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>otherwise with a distinctive identity.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>This document is intended for all types and sizes of organizations that require the ability to validate the authenticity and integrity of material goods. It is intended to guide such organizations in the determination of the categories of authentication elements they need to combat counterfeiting-related risks, and the criteria for selection of authentication elements, having undertaken a counterfeiting risk assessment.<\/p>\n<p>Authentication solutions can be used in areas like anti-counterfeiting, prevention of product fraud, and prevention of diversion.<\/p>\n<p>It is intended to guide organizations in the determination of categories of authentication elements they need, and the criteria for selection of authentication elements, having undertaken a counterfeiting or a product fraud risk analysis as required.<\/p>\n<p>This standard does not specify economic criteria aiming to correlate performance and costs of the authentication solutions.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p><b>BS ISO 22383.
