Although the relationship between task analysis and other<br \/>\nsystem development techniques is briefly considered, the emphasis is clearly on the methods and benefits<br \/>\nto be derived from a detailed analysis of operator functions and activities in the control room.<br \/>\nMethods used to support the task analysis are also presented. These include the use of surveys and<br \/>\nquestionnaires, tabletop analysis approaches, and the use of mockups and walkthroughs.<br \/>\nApplications of the data are considered for addressing a number of design-related issues.
