Methods are<br \/>\nrecommended for the measurement of aldehydes and carbonyl<br \/>\ncompounds, sulfates and the characterization of diesel exhaust<br \/>\nparticulates. Informational methods are presented for the<br \/>\nmeasurement of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAH) in diesel<br \/>\nexhaust particulate samples. The procedures are based on current<br \/>\nproven chemical and engineering practices. However, it should be<br \/>\nnoted that the procedures are subject to change to keep pace with<br \/>\nestablished experience and technology.<\/p>\n<p>The procedures are intended for use in the collection, analysis,<br \/>\nand characterization of emissions from diesel engines.
