These requirements cover secondary containments for aboveground primary tanks intended for the storage of flammable and combustible liquids such as gasoline, fuel oil, or similar products with a relative density not greater than 1.0. These containments consist essentially of vented enclosures having capacities of not less than 110% of the total capacities of the primary storage tanks. The calculation of this capacity includes any part of the primary tank that would be submerged in the containment. <\/p>\n

These containments are designed to accommodate primary tanks having maximum capacities of 5000 L, constructed in accordance with one of the following Standards:<\/p>\n
