1.1 This standard provides test methods and calculation procedures for establishing the efficiencies of space-conditioning\/water-heating appliances having refrigerant-to- water desuperheaters.

6.3 Energy Factor (EF). The energy factor of the electric water heater shall be determined in accordance with ANSI\/ASHRAE Standard 118.2, Method of Testing for Rating Residential Water Heaters.2
6.4 Combined Space-Conditioning and Water-Heating Performance. For each season, the space-conditioning and water-heating performance of the combined appliance shall be determined using the calculations prescribed in Section 11.
