{"id":278556,"date":"2024-10-19T18:46:37","date_gmt":"2024-10-19T18:46:37","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pdfstandards.shop\/product\/uncategorized\/bs-en-61223-2-41995\/"},"modified":"2024-10-25T15:19:30","modified_gmt":"2024-10-25T15:19:30","slug":"bs-en-61223-2-41995","status":"publish","type":"product","link":"https:\/\/pdfstandards.shop\/product\/publishers\/bsi\/bs-en-61223-2-41995\/","title":{"rendered":"BS EN 61223-2-4:1995"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><b>1.1 Scope<\/b><\/p>\n<p>This part of IEC&nbsp;1223 applies to <small style=\"text-transform: uppercase\">hard copy cameras<\/small> producing images on monochrome continuous tone material (such as photographic films and materials sensitive to infrared radiation), and comprising types of cameras using a cathode ray tube, laser beam, or a thermoprinting system, as used in diagnostic imaging systems such as:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p>digital radiography;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>digital subtraction angiography;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>imaging in <small style=\"text-transform: uppercase\">computed tomography<\/small>;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>magnetic resonance imaging;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>ultrasound imaging;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>imaging in <small style=\"text-transform: uppercase\">nuclear medicine<\/small>.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>*The test methods are based on the use of test patterns.<\/p>\n<p>This standard does not apply to x-y (analogue) recording systems used in <small style=\"text-transform: uppercase\">nuclear medicine<\/small>.<\/p>\n<p>This standard is a part of a series of Particular Publications (standards and technical reports) which give methods of tests for the constancy of properties of diagnostic imaging systems as described in IEC&nbsp;1223-1 (see clause&nbsp;<b>2<\/b>).<\/p>\n<p><b>1.2 Object*<\/b><\/p>\n<p>This part of IEC&nbsp;1223 describes a method to check, in terms of functional parameters, the constancy of the quality of images produced by <small style=\"text-transform: uppercase\">hard copy cameras<\/small> in order to ensure that the required conditions for producing consistent hard copies are maintained after the calibration and adjustment have been carried out.<\/p>\n<p>The aims of the method are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p>to establish a reference level of performance for the <small style=\"text-transform: uppercase\">hard copy camera<\/small> when such equipment has been accepted;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>to detect and verify any significant variation in functional parameters which may then require corrective actions.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>With regard to the measurements, reference is made to methods described in related publications, which for practical reasons should be carried out prior to the application of the method described in this standard (see clause&nbsp;<b>2<\/b>).<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p><b>Evaluation and routine testing in medical imaging departments.
