Reduce the severity of flash fire burn injury and increase survival odds by following the latest rules for flame-resistant clothing in the 2012 NFPA 2112. NFPA 2112: Standard on Flame-Resistant Garments for Protection of Industrial Personnel Against Flash Fire specifies the minimum design, performance, certification, and testing requirements for flame-resistant fabric and garments for use in areas at risk from flash fires. Major changes in the 2012 edition include: Updated terminology from ”Thermal Protective Performance” to ”Heat Transfer Performance” and incorporation by reference of ASTM F2700 as the test method. Added definition and testing requirements for cold weather insulation materials to ensure that garments incorporating such insulation material are properly tested and certified. Clarification of laundering requirements to prevent the presence of residual detergent during testing. This critical Standard is essential for manufacturers and certifying agencies of fire-resistant garments for industrial personnel.<\/p>\n
