{"id":516668,"date":"2024-11-05T14:41:50","date_gmt":"2024-11-05T14:41:50","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pdfstandards.shop\/product\/uncategorized\/can-csa-z243-155-88\/"},"modified":"2024-11-05T14:41:50","modified_gmt":"2024-11-05T14:41:50","slug":"can-csa-z243-155-88","status":"publish","type":"product","link":"https:\/\/pdfstandards.shop\/product\/publishers\/csa\/can-csa-z243-155-88\/","title":{"rendered":"CAN\/CSA-Z243.155-88"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Scope and Field of Application<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This International Standard specifies<\/p>\n<p>(a) procedures for a single protocol for the transfer of data and control information from one session entity to a peer session entity;<br \/>(b) the means of selecting the functional units to be used by the session entities;<br \/>(c) the structure and encoding of the session protocol data units used for the transfer of data and control information.<\/p>\n<p>The procedures are defined in terms of<\/p>\n<p>(a) the interactions between peer session entities through the exchange of session protocol data units;<br \/>(b) the interactions between a session entity and the session service user in the same system through the exchange of session service primitives;<br \/>(c) the interactions between a session entity and the transport service provider through the exchange of transport service primitives.<\/p>\n<p>These procedures are applicable to instances of communication between systems which support the Session Layer of the OSI Reference Model and which wish to interconnect in an open systems environment.<\/p>\n<p>This International Standard also specifies conformance requirements fo r systems implementing these procedures.
